Cake and conferences

Plans for our first conference on children’s publishing, Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Children’s Publishing, are coming along very well – it looks like it’ll be a sell-out day, and our speakers (including author Tracey Corderoy, columnist Lucy Mangan, agent Hilary Delamere, Waterstones Children’s Buyer Melissa Cox, social media expert Jon Reed, and Nosy Crow MD Kate Wilson) are planning some really fantastic events. And today we have two pieces of very good conference news!

Firstly, we’ve decided to extend the period for our early bird discount, so for a little while longer you’ll be able to buy tickets at this special rate before they raise to the full price. If you’d like to come along, don’t delay!

And that’s not all. The even better news is that, perhaps unwisely, Kate and I have also decided that we will make cakes for EVERYONE coming to the conference. Yes, seriously. We’ll be finishing the day with hundreds of cakes (along with a glass of wine), handmade by us… it IS a Nosy Crow event, after all.

If you haven’t already bought your early bird ticket, you can do so with the very straightforward form below, or at the Eventbrite page for the conference, here. You can also read the full program for the day here – if you have any questions, leave a comment below this post or send an email to [email protected] and we’ll get back to you. The event is taking place on Saturday, September 21 at St Bride Foundation on Fleet Street – we hope to see you there!
