Come to our September reading group!

We’re making plans for our next Nosy Crow Guardian reading group event, and we’d like you to take part! In September we’ll be reading Fruitloops and Dipsticks by Ulf Stark (and translated by Julia Marshall) (suggested by one of the members of our last group, for A Boy and a Bear in a Boat). This will be our first book in translation for the reading group, which we thought would make an interesting prospect, and also – rather more embarrassingly – our first choice with a female protagonist.

The event will take place here in the Crow’s Nest (10a Lant Street) on Thursday, September 12 at 6.30pm, but if you can’t join us in person, we’d love it if you took part online – we’ll be partnering with The Guardian once again, and you’ll be able to join in with the discussion online at a page of their website and on Twitter with the #NCGKids hashtag.

If you would like to come, send me an email ([email protected]). We’ll post some questions for discussion closer to the date (once I’ve read the book…). If you need to buy a copy, Fruitloops and Dipsticks isn’t available from the Guardian Bookshop (yet), but you can find it online at Waterstones, here.

We hope you can join us!
