Nosy Crow at the Edinburgh Book Festival

The line-up for the Edinburgh Book Festival has been announced and we’re very pleased to see the strong contingent of Nosy Crow authors and illustrators who’ll be holding events!

First up is Simon Puttock, author of The Baby that Roared, who’ll be taking part in a story-telling event, Curtains Up, with Julia Donaldson and Vivian French on Tuesday 14 August. Full details of the event are here.

Also on Tuesday 14 will be an event held by Lyn Gardner, author of the Olivia books. Lyn will be introducing the latest volume in the series, Olivia’s Enchanted Summer – which is set at the Edinburgh Festival – and you can find out more here.

And rounding off a hat-trick of events on August 14, Catherine Wilkins, debut author of the hilarious My Best Friend and Other Enemies, will be holding a Stand-Up Workshop. As well as being a children’s author, Catherine is also a stand-up comedian (for adults) – the two worlds will collide in this funny, engaging event. Find out more here.

On Thursday 16, Philip Ardagh and Axel Scheffler will be launching their brand new series, The Grunts with a very exciting, funny and slightly disgusting event together. Be one of the first to get your hands on a copy of book one in the series, The Grunts in Trouble and find out JUST how impressive Philip’s beard is. Full details are here.

Axel will be holding a second event for fans of his Pip and Posy books on Friday 17. There’ll be lots of drawing, readings from the books, and if you’re very lucky, you might even be able to meet Pip and Posy themselves! You can find out more here.

Finally, last but by no means least, Tim Wesson and Nikalas Catlow, creators of the Mega Mash-Up series, will be holding a funny, creative, bonkers event on Sunday 19, with LOTS of mad drawing, story-telling and brand new mash-ups. Here are all the details.

Tickets for all the events at the Festival will go on sale on 29 June (this Friday). We hope to see you there!
