We’re making our apps for Android

Today may not seem like the best time to make any special announcement, what with one thing or another demanding everyone’s attention, but we couldn’t wait any longer to share some news.

We’re thrilled to tell you that our apps will be soon be available for Android, starting with the new NOOK HD and NOOK HD+ tablets from Barnes and Noble.

The first apps that will be released on the NOOK Storefront will be Rounds: Franklin Frog and Pip and Posy: Fun and Games, which will be available at the launch of the new devices.

This is our first step into the Android ecosystem and we’re thrilled to be able to share our apps with a new audience.

Kate says:

“Barnes & Noble has created an ideal platform for developers like Nosy Crow, who create apps with reading and stories at their heart. Barnes & Noble understand books and book buyers and many of their NOOK customers are exactly the sort of people we have in mind when we create our apps: parents who are keen to use digital media to encourage their children to read. And they have built fantastic tablets which showcase our apps wonderfully.”
