Maggie Li

Maggie has a passion for the natural world and delights in illustrating animals, dinosaurs and mischievous children. Dig Dig Dinosaur is her first illustrated picture book having published numerous non-fiction titles and board books in her 10 year career as a children’s illustrator. She now works and lives in East London and when she’s not buried in books at her desk you’ll probably find her raiding a second hand book shop for a vintage picture book gem. She has a passion for cooking and food and would love to illustrate a children’s recipe book one day!

Anjali Goswami

Professor Anjali Goswami is a Research Leader in Palaeobiology and Dean of Postgraduate Education at the Natural History Museum, London and an Honorary Professor of Palaeobiology at University College London. She is also President of The Linnean Society of London, where Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution was first presented in 1858.

She grew up around Detroit, Michigan (USA), but spent long periods in India growing up, where her love of nature was first sparked by seeing a tiger when she was 4 years old. She studied Biology and Geology at the University of Michigan and conducted her PhD research on mammal evolution at the University of Chicago and the Field Museum of Natural History before moving to London to take up a research fellowship at the Natural History Museum. Before coming back to the Natural History Museum as a research leader, she lectured at the University of Cambridge and University College London.

Anjali specialises in the evolution of animal shape, especially skulls, and she has led expeditions to search for fossils all over the world, especially India, Argentina, and Svalbard. She has won numerous awards for her work, including the Palaeontological Association’s President’s Medal, the Linnean Society’s Bicentenary Medal, the Zoological Society of London’s Scientific Medal, and HumanistUK’s Darwin Day Medal.

She is passionate about inspiring people around the world to explore, study, and protect nature and hopes everyone will get out and get their hands and feet dirty while learning more about this amazing planet we live on.

Michelle You

Michelle You is co-founder and CEO of carbon removal marketplace Supercritical. Michelle is a former venture partner at LocalGlobe, where she focused on climate investments. She’s also a repeat entrepreneur. As co-founder of Songkick, she grew the company to over 20 million monthly unique users and raised capital from Y Combinator, Index Ventures and Sequoia before exiting to Warner Music Group in 2017.
Michelle is based in London, UK. How to Launch a Tech Start-Up is her first children’s book.

Grace Habib

Grace Habib graduated with BFA in Illustration at Columbus College of Art and Design, Ohio, USA. After graduating, she started working at a greeting card company as a kids card designer.
Soon after, she found her passion as a children’s illustrator. In her free time she enjoys nature parks, visiting local bakeries, and coffee shops. She lives in Bellingham, Washington, USA with her husband and daughter.

Adeola is a writer-illustrator from London. She is an obsessive doodler and lover of fantasy stories. She also writes her own graphic novels. She studied Computer Visualisation and Animation at Bournemouth University. Adeola works for an animation company as a Studio Senior Lighting & Compositing Artist.

Nick Robinson

Nick Robinson has been folding paper since the early 80’s and is currently the president of the British Origami Society, having been a member for over 30 years. He is a professional origami teacher and travels to schools, libraries, youth clubs, hospitals and art galleries, running origami and paper artwork sessions with people of all ages and physical abilities.

Nick has written and illustrated over 100 origami books, with total world-wide sales into the millions. His website is www.nickorigami.com and there you can find out everything you need to know (and more) about origami and enjoy his ori-blog. He is in his 60s and lives in Sheffield, England with his wife Alison, grown-up children Daisy and Nick, plus cats Rhubarb & Pickle. A former professional musician, Nick still performs solo ambient guitar concerts (www.nickrobinson.co.uk) and records/performs with his band Das Ras (www.dasrad.uk)

Nina Chakrabarti

Award winning illustrator Nina Chakrabarti grew up in Calcutta, India, and moved to the United Kingdom in her teens. She brings her joyful style and distinctive line quality to an eclectic range of commissioned work and has written several books for children, including the international bestseller ‘My Wonderful World of Fashion’. Taking inspiration from both the extraordinary and the often overlooked, Nina has created a series of illustrated books that invite both children to reflect on their relationships with all sorts of things – from fungi to fashion, from ancient pots to a childhood stamp collection. She lives and works in Hastings, on the south coast of England.

Kaley McKean

Kaley McKean is a Canadian illustrator with a BDes in Illustration from the Ontario College of Art and Design. She has over 10 years of experience in the industry, working in children’s publishing, editorial, packaging, advertising, and more. As well as Nosy Crow, her clients include DK, Usborne, Chronicle, Aquila Magazine, Mudpuppy, Smithsonian, and The New York Times.
Kaley currently lives in Toronto with her partner and fellow illustrator, Nolan Pelletier, and an array of plants and animals. In her spare time, she can be found tending to her overgrown allotment garden or hunting for mushrooms in the woods.

Andy Passchier

Andy Passchier is a non-binary illustrator from The Netherlands currently based in the USA. In their work, they try to focus on inclusivity and LGBTQIA+ advocacy. Outside of illustration, they enjoy Dungeons & Dragons, shows about aliens, cooking and anything spooky or Halloween-related.

Guilherme Karsten

Guilherme lives in Blumenau, in southern Brazil. In 2010, he won a national contest for new children’s book illustrators and has been working with editorial illustrations ever since. After illustrating many books for other authors, Guilherme started writing his own books in 2017. Guilherme’s work has been published worldwide and has received various accolades, including the Jabuti Award and the Golden Pinwheel Grand Award. Guilherme continues to seek ways to entertain and delight children through his art and stories.
