Parents' Choice Awards

Cinderella and The Three Little Pigs have both received the Parents’ Choice Gold Award.

The Gold Award is distributed to children’s media that include the “highest production standards, universal human values and a unique, individual quality that pushes the product a notch above others.”

Hillingdon Picture Book of the Year

Hubble Bubble, Granny Trouble, written by Tracey Corderoy and illustrated by Joe Berger, has been nominated for the Hillingdon Picture Book of the Year.

The award is presented by Hillingdon Schools’ Library Service, and Tracey won the prize last year for The Grunt and the Grouch. Also nominated are Nadia Shireen, illustrator of The Baby that Roared, for Good Little Wolf, Julia Donaldson, for The Highway Rat, David Melling, for Don’t Worry Douglas!, Alison Green, for Pinkie Mouse, Where Are You?, and Jonathan Emmett, for The Princess and the Pig.

Cinderella nominated for a Junior Design Award

Hot on the heels of its number one ranking in PadGadget’s list of the Top Ten iPad Books for Kids – and this fabulous review by Macworld – our Cinderella app has received a Junior Design Award nomination in the brand new category of Best Children’s App.

The awards are run by Junior Magazine and the winners will be announced shortly.

Bizzy Bear on the Farm shortlisted for the Bologna Ragazzi Digital Award

Our Bizzy Bear on the Farm app has been shortlisted for the inaugural Bologna Ragazzi Digital Award.

The award, which is run in collaboration with Children’s Technology Review, solicited over 252 entries from 179 publishers from 25 countries. The winner will be announced at the Tools of Change Bologna conference, and you can find the full list of shortlisted apps here.

Nosy Crow nominated for four IPG Awards

We’re incredibly pleased to announce that Nosy Crow has been shortlisted in four categories of the 2012 IPG Independent Publishing Awards.

The nominations are in the categories of IPG Children’s Publisher of the Year, IPG Newcomer Award, The London Book Fair International Achievement Award, and The Frankfurt Book Fair Digital Marketing Award.

Cinderella has been shortlisted for an Appy Award in the Books category. The awards are run by MediaPost and the winners will be announced on March 19 in San Francisco.

The Appside, in association with UK Trade & Investment and the ICT Knowledge Transfer Network, has published a report called Best of British Apps, which includes Cinderella in its list of 50 innovative apps developed and/or published by UK companies.

The report states: “Cinderella was one of its [Nosy Crow’s] key titles in 2011, and is a beautiful interactive retelling of the popular fairy tale […] a good example of the way storytelling apps are moving into a space somewhere between books, games and short films.”

Olivia's First Term in the Richard and Judy Kids' Book Club

Olivia’s First Term by Lyn Gardner has been selected for the Richard and Judy Kids’ Book Club.
