The shortlists for this year’s FutureBook Awards have been unveiled at the Frankfurt Book Fair, and we are thrilled that our Goldilocks and Little Bear app has been recognised in the Best Children’s Digital Book Category!
We are incredibly proud of Goldilocks and Little Bear, and enormously pleased that it has been shortlisted for this award: our Snow White app won the Children’s Digital Book FutureBook Award in 2015, our Jack and the Beanstalk app won the award in 2014, our Rounds: Parker Penguin app won in 2013, and our Cinderella app won in 2011 – and so we are particularly glad that Goldilocks and Little Bear has been recognised for the same prize.
Here’s the trailer for Goldilocks and Little Bear:
Goldilocks and Little Bear features a unique, interactive new form of storytelling: rotate your device at any point and experience the dual stories of Goldilocks and Little Bear. Enjoy each story in parallel, individually, or however you’d like – you can toggle between the two at any point. It’s the classic story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears – as you’ve never seen it before. While Goldilocks is in the bears’ home, eating their porridge, sitting in their chairs, and sleeping in their beds, Little Bear is in Goldilocks’s family’s home – eating their pancakes, wearing their clothes, and reading their books!
The app is also the recipient of the 2016 UKLA Digital Book Award, an Editor’s Choice Award (and 100% rating) from Children’s Technology Review, a special commendation from the BolognaRagazzi Digital Award, and more.
