Nosy Crow at the 2018 Edinburgh International Book Festival

Tickets are on sale for the Edinburgh International Book Festival, and there’s a fantastic selection of events taking place featuring Nosy Crow authors and illustrators! Here’s who you can find at this year’s festival…

Author-illustrator Joe Berger will be at the festival on Friday, August 17 from 11.30am-12.30pm, sharing his new books, Superhero Mum and Superhero Dad – showing that sometimes the greatest superpowers are the ones that don’t seem so extraordinary! You can book tickets for Friday’s event here – and here’s a look inside the books:

Award-winning author Chae Strathie will be at the festival on Friday, August 17 from 14:00pm-15:00pm. Life in ancient Egypt may sound like fun, with all the amazing pyramids and glorious sunny weather, but in So You Think You’ve Got It Bad? Author Barry Hutchinson will be at the festival on Saturday, August 18 from 10:30am-11:30am to share the latest instalment of his hilarious Spectre Collectors series, A New York Nightmare! Try not to get spooked as you meet the ghostbusting author behind this terrifically terrifying series. Pamela Butchart, author of the award-winning Baby Aliens series, will be sharing her latest comical creation, The Phantom Lollipop Man! on Saturday, August 18 from 15:45pm-16:45pm. Join the award-winning author for an hour of ghost-hunting mayhem, in what is sure to be a kooky, spooky, laugh-out-loud event. There’s a Bear on My Chair author-illustrator Ross Collins will be at the festival on Sunday, August 19 from 12:15am-13:15pm, to celebrate his brand new picture book, What Does An Anteater Eat?. Help Ross Collins to remember what Anteater should eat as you join him for a deliciously daft hour of animal eating antics. And finally, Philip Ardagh will be at the festival (for the 21st year!) on Saturday, August 25 from 12:15pm-13:15pm, for an hour of historical hilarity as he introduces you to Jane Pinny, Victorian House Maid (and Accidental Detective), the second book in The Secret Diary Series. Philip separates the Victorian fact from fiction and gives you the chance to dress up and act out scenes from the book.
