Author Paula Harrison will be at the festival on Saturday, September 29 from 2:00pm-2.45pm, talking about her inspiring series The Rescue Princesses. Go on a journey with Paula, as she talks about her the princesses’ latest adventures and her inspiration behind the series. Join Catherine Johnson and Katherine Woodfine for a celebration of Women’s Suffrage on Tuesday, October 2 from 1:15pm-2:00pm, during this 100th anniversary year of women’s suffrage. They’ll talk about the inspirational short stories they’ve contributed to the special Make More Noise anthology and discuss the ways women (and men) have chosen to protest both then and now. Meet award-winning author of the My Brother is Superhero series, David Solomons on Sunday, October 7 from 4:00pm-4:45pm. David Solomons will share stories from some of his side-splittingly funny books and you can polish up your knowledge of superheroes and villains. If you are interested in writing for young people, Fleur Hitchcock, author of Murder In Midwinter, will be joining Liz Brownlee and Mel Darbon as they discuss the creative process with MA Course Leader and author Julia Green. The panel will take place on Thursday, October 4 from 7:00pm-8:00pm and you can join the panelists afterwards for a friendly drinks reception for a chance to mingle and ask questions of these and other local published authors.
