This week we published I Am the Seed That Grew the Tree: A Nature Poem for Every Day of the Year, illustrated by Frann Preston-Gannon and collected by Fiona Waters – a beautifully illustrated collection of 366 nature poems, one for every day of the year.
It’s certainly the most ambitious book that we have ever published at Nosy Crow – over three hundred fully-illustrated pages of poetry, in a stunning and lavishly-produced hardback edition, fully illustrated throughout with gorgeous artwork by Frann.
And Frann has produced a cartoon journal of the book’s path to publication, which we are delighted to share today!
Filled with familiar favourites and new discoveries, by poets including John Agard, William Blake, Emily Dickinson, Carol Ann Duffy, Robert Frost, Christina Rossetti, William Shakespeare, Thomas Hardy and many more, this is a perfect book for children (and grown-ups!) to share at the beginning or the end of the day.
