Acorn - Nosy Crow Skip to content

Silver acorn, original location unknown, 300 BCE–100 CE

This silver acorn is just 3.7 centimetres long and very old. The nut is smooth, but the silversmith hammered the acorn cup to make it look rough like the real thing.

Did you know?

The ancient Greeks made gold wreaths to look like oak leaves and acorns.
