This butterfly was painted by a French artist called Nicolas Robert in an album called Robert’s Drawings of Plants, Birds, Shells etc. Vol II. Robert was an artist who lived in France from 1614 to 1685. He was famous for painting miniatures, or small pictures, and he even painted King Louis XIV of France.
