Coated with a smooth, shiny white glaze, the surface of this goblet was perfect for painting with words and pictures. Can you find the name William on this one? The picture of a bird above a baby is from a story of a child found in an eagle’s nest. The Eagle and Child was also a popular name for a public house at the time. Was this a cup for beer?
