Toy dog by Kay Bøjesen, Denmark, 1934

Dogs can wag their tails when they’re happy, but this little dachshund from Denmark can only move its head. It is a toy, carved out of walnut wood and painted brown, with two wooden black eyes.

Did you know?

The name dachshund means ‘badger hound’.
