Duck - Nosy Crow Skip to content

Duck figure, porcelain, Japan, 1750–1850

The district of Arita in south-west Japan produced vessels and ornaments made of high-quality, pure white porcelain. This figure of a seated duck has been painted with red and brown enamels for the beak, eyes and feet to make it seem more realistic.
