Porcelain jug, Worcester, UK, date unknown

This pretty cream jug is made of porcelain and comes from an English factory in Worcester. The Worcester factory began making china in the 1750s, in the Chinese style because wealthy people in Britain wanted to make their tables look ‘smart’. Factory painters put designs and pictures onto the china.
