These leaves look very real but are actually made from fabric cut into leaf shapes and fixed to wire stems. This little ornament is seven centimetres long. It was made in the 1980s and sold in Papantla, in Veracruz, Mexico. Someone could wear it as a brooch or put it in a tiny vase.
The biggest flat leaf grows on a giant waterlily and can reach three metres wide.
