Plate

Made in Bristol, England, this pottery plate is painted with a Chinese scene imitating expensive imported porcelain. It shows a woman, holding a fan and sitting near a tree growing from a rock. Her attendant is nearby, with a bird overhead. The plate has survived hundreds of years despite the long crack down the middle.
