'Cherry Blossom Viewing in Ueno' by Utagawa Hiroshige, woodblock print, Japan, published 1847–1852

Japan is famous for its cherry blossom season, which lasts for a little over one week in the spring. In this print design, women and a child are on a pleasure-trip to a temple in Ueno, located in the north-east of Edo (today’s Tokyo).
