When will I receive my order?

You can expect to receive your order within 5-7 days from the date of your order

How many days does an order take to ship?

It typically takes between 1-2 days to ship 

How do I return an item?

Please send an email to [email protected] with your reason for wanting to return your item. Our team will then talk you through the next steps. 

How long do I have to return an item?

14 days (may be 28, best to check) 

Is there international shipping?

Unfortunately, we do not deliver internationally from our website.

Who do I contact if my order is delayed?

You can contact [email protected] if you have not received your order after 7 days 

What size batteries do I need to buy for sound books?

For the Meeko and Jingle Bell books, use Button sell batteries and for all the Listen Too use AAA.

Who do I contact for submissions?

Unfortunately we are unable to accept unsolicited manuscripts or book proposals at present.

Is there a Nosy Crow app?

At this time, we do not have an app for Nosy Crow 

Why is my book missing from my order?

Sometimes items can be shipped in multiple packages. If you have not received your full order after 7 days, please reach out to [email protected]

Where can I purchase Nosy Crow books?

You can purchase books directly from our website, via a host of online retailers that we list on our website, or directly from a bookshop. 

How do I know if an item is out of stock?

You will not be able to purchase an item from our website if it is out of stock.

Which books have Stories Aloud?

All of our paperback picture books and a growing number of novelty books come with a Stories Aloud audio reading, which is accessible when you scan the QR code on the physical book. Look out for the Stories Aloud sticker on our books both in stores and on our website!

Which books have an audio version?

Many of our books have an audio version, whether it’s Stories Aloud or an audiobook.

Stories Aloud: All our paperback picture books and a growing number of our novelty books come with a Stories Aloud. Look out for our Stories Aloud sticker both in stores and our website to see which titles have Stories Aloud.

Audiobook: A great selection of our fiction books for readers ranging from 5 to 12 years old are available to purchase as audiobooks on Audible, Amazon, and Apple Books, Voxblock, and XigXag. On these audiobook platforms, browse by title or search ‘Nosy Crow’ to see our full audiobook catalogue available on each platform. 

Do I need an app to listen to Stories Aloud?

Not necessarily and usually no!

All you need is a smartphone or tablet with an active internet connection! After scanning the QR code using your device’s camera, click the link that appears and that will take you to our Stories Aloud website. 

You may need to download a QR code reader app from Google Play or the App Store if your device’s camera is not equipped to scan QR codes. In this case, use the QR code reader app of your choice to scan the QR code, click the link, and then you’ll be directed to the Stories Aloud online website. 

Where can I find the QR code to scan?

The QR code is located on the inside cover of the paperback picture books or on the back cover of our novelty board books, next to our friendly crow!  

Do I need an iPhone to scan the barcode?

No, you don’t need to own an iPhone. Most smartphones and tablets (including iPhones) will allow you to scan the QR code using your device’s camera. If your device’s camera is not equipped to scan a QR code, you may need to download a QR code reader from either Google Play or the App Store.

Are Stories Aloud and audiobooks the same thing?

 Stores Aloud and audiobooks are two different things at Nosy Crow. 

Audiobooks are an audio version of our print books available for sale on a selection of different audiobook platforms including Audible, Amazon, XigXag, Voxblock, and Apple Books. A huge range of our fiction titles for children of 5 to 12 years old are available to purchase as audiobooks, including Escape Room, Baby Aliens Got My Teacher, Unicorn Academy, and more!

Stories Aloud is a free audio reading, complete with a full soundscape of sound effects and music. This free audio is accessible online on our Stories Aloud website. You can only listen to Stories Aloud with the book, as they’re best enjoyed together! 

What book formats have Stories Aloud?

Our paperback picture books come with a Stories Aloud. We’ve also recently expanded our Stories Aloud programme and a growing number of our novelty board book titles will also have a Stories Aloud!

Can I get a copy of the audio/download it?

The Stories Aloud audio is not downloadable at this time. 

Why isn’t my QR code working?

If you’re unable to scan the QR code with your smartphone or tablet camera, you might want to try using a QR code reader app, which you can download from Google Play or the App Store. If that doesn’t work, please send us an email at [email protected] and we’ll investigate the problem!

Is there a Stories Aloud app?

No, there is no Stories Aloud app. The audio recordings are all available to listen online on our Stories Aloud website.
