Bold, colourful artwork, quirky animals and a funny, alliterative text combine with an engaging sliding mechanism in this delightful series for toddlers. In There’s a Panda in my Picnic! a series of weird and wonderful animals rudely interrupt the narrator’s lunch. From the cheetah in the cheese to the anteater in the apple, it soon becomes clear that this is a picnic like no other!

What the Critics Said

“(Jo Lodge’s) signature style – think quirky animals and bold, colourful artwork – is strong as ever, and the slide and seek series offers a robust and fun alternative to lift-the-flap books.”

My 11 month granddaughter loves this book. It is sturdy (just as well for little hands that like to grab) and so much fun. Her favourite is the iguana in the ice-cream which elicits giggles, although her mum thought this might explain her wariness about having an ice-cream on a trip to the beach! Definitely recommended – I am just struggling to choose which one to try next in this series – or maybe all of them!
