Miranda Robson studied Italian & English Literature at Warwick University and enjoyed life in Bologna during her year abroad. She has about 30 years’ experience in publishing. Her first job was in the contracts team at the Royal Opera House where she drafted contracts for artists, producers, conductors and designers for the Royal Opera and Royal Ballet. Her publishing career started in Rights at Penguin Random House. After four years, she became a rights manager at A&C Black (now part of Bloomsbury). Staying at Black’s, she switched over to edit the Blue Guides on art & architecture, then moved to an independent specialist publisher in Oxfordshire as an editorial and production manager, working above the warehouse. After three years she moved to Bath and Barefoot Books, as group editorial manager. After a career break she spent over five years as contracts manager for the Children’s division at Hachette UK then moved to Andrew Nurnberg literary agents before joining Nosy Crow.
